Christmas is a busy time for all online shops, but even if you don't trade online, here are some changes you should be thinking about making sooner rather than later...

1) Christmas opening hours and last order dates.

Everyone should be looking at opening hours, how to contact you in an emergency, and for online shops, how late can people order and still get items for Christmas?  You might find this planner useful. Why not consider offering a 'rapid courier delivery option' as an upsell at the checkout?

2) Christmas Theme.

We can put snow on your logo, robins in your footer and generally give your site a Christmas makeover.  We can also put it back to how it was after the turkey has finally gone.  Call Kate on 01952 457392 for ideas!

3) VAT Changes

Yes, the VAT change will more than likely happen come the year end.  Do you mention VAT on your site?  Time to draw up a list of where you need to make changes.

4) Bundle up your items

Selling online?  Get Christmas Gifts on the front page as soon as November is here, and try making up bundles of items to sell as gifts so you customers don't have to think too hard.  You could offer a gift wrapping service too!

5) Email your customers

Amazon and Argos will be blasting Christmas messages thick and fast.  Maybe you should be putting together a plan to remind your customers that you are worthy of their Christmas spend over the coming weeks too.  Don't forget that you can add the email newsletters as content too.

6) Your email signature

Are you using your email signature to promote your website and communicate new services and offers?  Ideal for reminding people about office closing and re-opening dates.

7) Wish your clients a Merry Christmas

Don't forget to wish your customers a Merry Christmas!
